Medellín’s mild, spring-like climate means Parque Lleras works year-round. What changes is the crowd, the rain and the price of a hotel room. Here is how to time your trip.
Which nights to go out
Thursday warms up, Friday and Saturday are the big nights, and Sunday is quiet. Early in the week, Vintrash‘s Tuesday party is the exception.
Rain, festivals and crowds
Medellín is temperate all year, but showers are more frequent in the typical wetter spells around April–May and October–November — usually in the afternoon, clearing by evening (see our rainy-day plan).
The Feria de las Flores, the city’s flower festival, runs from 31 July to 9 August in 2026 and fills hotels across El Poblado. December brings holiday lights, family visits and the busiest nights of the year.
For citywide events and festivals, see our sister site Medellín.com.
Lock in your room early
For festival weeks and December, book hotels near the park well ahead — rooms within walking distance go first.
