The most dramatic view of Medellín is from the air. Tandem paragliding flights launch from San Félix, in the mountains north of the city, and most tours collect you near Parque Lleras in the morning and have you back by lunch.
From your hotel to the sky
A driver collects you in El Poblado and heads north up into the mountains; some tours stop for breakfast on the way. At the launch site you get a safety briefing and gear — helmet and harness — then run a few steps and lift off with your pilot.
The flight looks out over the Aburrá Valley, with the city spread below. Many operators offer GoPro footage as an add-on.
Before you book
Mornings usually have the most reliable conditions; flights depend on the weather, so keep a backup day if you can. Wear closed shoes and bring a light layer — it is cooler up on the mountain than in El Poblado.
