Parque Lleras sits in the upper part of El Poblado, on the slope above Avenida El Poblado. That one geographical fact explains most of what follows: everything arrives from below, and the last stretch is uphill. Here is how to reach the park from wherever you are starting.
From the airport
José María Córdova (MDE) is 45–60 minutes away by road. Take the official taxi at the fixed tariff (around COP 130,000 at the last update), the Combuses bus to San Diego and a taxi from there, a ride app, or a pre-booked private transfer. Tell the driver “Parque Lleras” and they will drop you at the Calle 10 entry points; only authorised taxis are allowed into the park’s controlled blocks. Full detail: airport to El Poblado.
EasiestBy Metro
Take Line A to El Poblado station, which sits on Avenida Regional at Carrera 49 — on the valley floor, well below the park. From the station you have two choices:
- Walk. Head east and uphill along Calle 10 (or via Carrera 43A and then up). It is 15–20 minutes and genuinely steep; fine in the morning, less fun at 2 pm or with luggage.
- Taxi. There is a rank outside the station; the ride to the park is about five minutes and close to the minimum fare.
Fares are paid with a Cívica card (buy and load one at any station — cash is not accepted at the gates); a single occasional-user ride is a few thousand pesos. The Metro closes around 11 pm, so it gets you to the park for the evening but not home from it.
By taxi or ride app
From anywhere in El Poblado, Envigado or the Milla de Oro, a taxi to Parque Lleras is a few minutes and a few thousand pesos above the minimum fare. From Laureles it is 15–25 minutes across the valley; from downtown 15–20 minutes. Uber, DiDi and Cabify operate in a legal grey area but are widely used. On foot from elsewhere in El Poblado
From Provenza: five minutes east along Calle 8A or Calle 10. From Manila: about ten minutes, mostly flat then uphill. From the Milla de Oro (Estelar, Dann Carlton, the malls): 15 minutes uphill, or take the pleasant route through Parque Lineal La Presidenta. From Astorga (Elcielo): 10–15 minutes, or a five-minute taxi that most people take at night.
From Laureles or downtown
Metro Line B from Estadio or Floresta to San Antonio, change to Line A southbound to El Poblado, then taxi or walk up; about 35–45 minutes all in. A taxi is 15–25 minutes and, split between two or three people, the obvious choice.
Arriving late
The park’s controlled zone means taxis may drop you at the Calle 10 entry points rather than at your hotel door, and security may ask where you are staying. This is normal. If your hotel is on Carrera 38 or 39 above the park, a two-minute walk with luggage is the worst case.
